Broadmoor has been blessed with wonderful musical talent over the years, and we are excited for you to join our choirs and instrumentalists as we praise God together with music.
WOW (Worship Our Way) is an exciting music and arts ministry for children that meets each Sunday morning during the 10:30 a.m. worship hour from September – May. Children attending the Casual or Sanctuary services at 10:30 a.m. will be brought to the Youth Building after the Children’s Message for a fun time of singing Biblically-based songs, playing instruments, and doing a creative movement.
This unique music program is separated into two age groups:
4 years old – 1st grade
Sundays, during 10:30 a.m. worship in The Cave in the Youth Building. The children will sing two to three times each semester in both the Casual and Sanctuary services, as well as in at least one major program at church or nursing home.
2nd – 6th grade
Sundays, during 10:30 a.m. worship in Room 3 in the Youth Building. The children will sing two to three times each semester in both the Casual and Sanctuary services. Grades 2 – 6 also present at least one major program at church or a nursing home each semester.
Broadmoor also offers a Music & Arts Camp every other summer for grades K – 6 offers. Classes include various music, art, drama, and dance forms.

The Youth Band meets most Sundays before Youth Group at 4:00 p.m. in The Cave. They learn contemporary worship music and lead the youth group in worship once a month. They also occasionally play for conference events and in worship services at Broadmoor. Drums, vocals, piano, bass, really any instrument is welcome. If you want to join, we’ve got a spot for you!
ADULT CHOIRS & MUSIC OPPORTUNITIES
Thursdays, 7:00 p.m. in the Choir Room (summer schedule – Sundays, 10:00 a.m. in the Choir Room)
The Chancel Choir sings for the 10:30 a.m. Sanctuary worship service each Sunday. This choir presents a Christmas and a Lenten concert each year.
Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room (September – May)
The Worship Choir sings for the 9:00 a.m. Sanctuary worship service each Sunday.
Tuesdays, 1:45 p.m. in the Choir Room (September – May)
The Saints Alive choir sings “fun” sacred and secular music and is open to adults 55 and over. They sing in nursing homes, for special activities, and in worship on special occasions. Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room (September – May)
The Women’s Ensemble sings occasionally in worship services and for special church and community events. Its ministry includes singing for residents of retirement and nursing facilities and for civic organizations.
Rehearsals after Chancel Choir on Thursday nights in the Choir Room
This small group sings a traditional hymn, gospel, and spiritual arrangements on occasion here in our worship services, and for other churches and community events. Membership is by interview.
Wednesdays, 6:45 p.m. in the Handbell Room (September – May)
This is a handbell ensemble open to senior high, college, and adult ringers with beginning – advanced ringing ability. They ring occasionally in worship and for special occasions. Contact Tammy Ross, director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rehearsals as needed in the Choir Room
The Broadmoor Brass is a group of musicians who play occasionally in worship, for special programs, and as an outreach ministry.
The King’s Pipes
Wednesdays, 5:45 p.m. in the Small Rehearsal Room

Casual Service Band
Sundays, 8:30a.m. in the Casual Worship Center
The Casual Service band leads singing and music weekly at 10:30 a.m. in the Casual Worship Center on Sundays, and auditions are always available. Commitment to play is once a month, on a rotational basis.
