Our Story

Red Stick Together is a food ministry of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, created to nourish both bodies and souls through the simple but powerful acts of sharing a meal and building community.

The ministry launched on December 22, 2019, rooted in the Dinner Church model—gathering around the table just as Jesus did and as the early Christian church practiced. In those early days, neighbors gathered on Wednesday nights to enjoy a free meal, live music, meaningful conversation, and a message of hope.

When the COVID-19 pandemic changed how we could gather, Red Stick Together adapted. What began as one weekly meal quickly grew into three nights a week, serving to-go meals outside to anyone in need. Over the course of a little more than two years, more than 65,000 meals were shared—each one offered with dignity, care, and love.

Where We Are Now

Today, Red Stick Together has returned to the table. We serve FREE hot, dine-in meals every Tuesday at 5:30 pm at Broadmoor United Methodist Church in the Casual Worship Center. Each meal is lovingly prepared and served by our incredible team of volunteers, creating a welcoming space for fellowship, conversation, and connection.
